A carbon takeoff that does itself.

Why it matters

You can only reduce what you measure. We make measuring automatic.

37%of global CO₂ emissions come from buildings and construction.UNEP Global Status Report 2025–26

Today vs Matrak

Carbon shouldn't be the first thing cut when the programme slips.

✕Today
  • A consultant rebuilds the quantities by hand, often months after the drawings.
  • Often tens of thousands of dollars a study, and over $100k on large projects, so it's done once, if at all.
  • Spend-based estimates: carbon guessed from dollars, not materials.
  • A new revision arrives and the study is already out of date.
  • The first line item cut when timelines get tight.
✓With Matrak
  • Quantities measured from the drawings by AI, in about 30 minutes.
  • A fraction of the cost, so every project and every revision gets measured.
  • Carbon from real materials: supplier EPDs first, NABERS factors where there are none.
  • Feed in the next revision and get the carbon delta beside the cost delta.
  • Automatic, so it never gets cut.

Revisions & value engineering

Cost delta and carbon delta, on every revision.

Feed in the old and new drawing sets. Each is taken off separately and every change is flagged, so value engineering shows what it saves in dollars and what it costs in carbon, before it's built. Don't let a variation quietly knock you out of your Green Star target.

Reporting

Meet and beat your Scope 3 reporting.

Climate disclosure now reaches into Scope 3. Matrak gives finance and sustainability teams project-level, material-level evidence for the regulator, the AGM and the annual report.

Other carbon tools need the quantities. We produce them.

LCA and carbon platforms are excellent at the carbon maths, but someone still has to take off the quantities or build a model first. Matrak starts from the PDF drawings.

Straight answers

How accurate is it?

It starts from the actual materials and quantities on the drawings rather than from spend, and every line shows its quantity, its factor and any assumption (for example a wall thickness the drawing didn't give). A sustainability lead can check or override any figure, and supplier EPDs replace the NABERS defaults wherever you have them.

What does it measure?

Upfront embodied carbon, cradle-to-gate (A1–A3), in kgCO2e for each line of the bill of quantities. It is the input to your Scope 3 and Green Star calculations, not a certified NABERS rating and not a whole-of-life LCA.

Where do the factors come from?

Your suppliers' Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) when you attach them. Otherwise the NABERS National material emission factors database (v2026.2), the national dataset GBCA's Green Star Buildings requires for its Upfront Carbon credit.

Can we export it?

Yes. Excel, CSV and the quote all carry the carbon columns, or push it straight into Matrak.

What does it cost?

A$89 per takeoff, the same as any takeoff. Carbon is included. For a portfolio, book a call.

Measure your next project. Then every one after it.

Drop in a drawing set. Carbon comes back on every line in about 30 minutes.
